I was contacted today by a gentleman that would like me to try his coffee. I know what you’re thinking, “I thought this was a blog about Scotch and Bourbon.” I promise, I am not getting off track. This coffee just happens to be a marriage of the two. Mind blown yet? It will be.
Let me break it down for you. The guys at Coopers Cask Coffee use whiskey barrels to age their coffee, and to put in their words “When tasted, you get the enriched coffee experience with a very long whiskey finish.” I myself have on occasion added a splash of whiskey to my coffee, so this to me is absolute genius. I can’t wait to try it. As usual I am bringing along Rick, my father-in-law, who is an avid coffee drinker as well. I will be letting you know the outcome as soon as we get it and have a couple of cups.
