REVIEW: Triple Crown North American Blended Whiskey

REVIEW: Triple Crown North American Blended Whiskey

Color: Golden Honey

Nose: Smells like Vodka, oak and Vanilla

Taste: Sweet Caramel, Low spice, oak, and grain alcohol

Finish: Vodka after taste, and oak with a long burn

Score: Sam – 1.5/10.0

I was at my local liquor store looking for my next review, when I didn’t find anything the owner pointed me to this. I was feeling a little adventurous so I plopped the money down and stuck the plastic pouch in my pocket. I got out my glass, ripped the top of the pouch and squeezed it into my glass. I could smell the grain alcohol straight off. This is 80% Grain Alcohol, and 20% whiskey. The flavor wasn’t to bad, not particularly my cup of tea though. The finish was again grain alcohol with a hint of oak and spice. Burned all the way down.

I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy a bottle, and I’d probably ask for a beer instead if it was offered to me. If you do decide to try it, I’d just chase it if I were you. It’ll help with the indigestion later!

Until Next Time,

Slàinte Mhath!
