You don’t have to take out a mortgage to stock your bar with the good stuff.  You can put together a top-shelf bar you’ll be proud of and ready to show off when you have people over without having to break the bank. Here’s how:

  1. Educate yourself. Don’t go to the liquor store and just start buying high priced liquors because you think that means they’ll be good. Figure out what you like and learn everything you can about it like where and how it’s made.
  2. Buy from the right place. My favorite place to buy from is Total Wine.  They have a HUGE selection and they’re usually priced considerably lower than everyone else. They’ll even let you taste most of their products before you commit to buying the bottle (which is very nice when you’re looking a purchasing a high priced bottle), and their employees are very knowledgeable about…
